Why is this research important for Alberta ag?

Alberta's agriculture and food industry is bubbling with opportunity, but effort is required to ensure the Alberta agri-food sector can effectively compete against other national and International jurisdictions to attract investment, support innovation, and advance the commercialization of agri-food businesses in the province.

The AgriFood IMPACT concept was created and structured as a collective impact social enterprise, designed to address just such challenges and to act as Alberta's "agri-food catalyst" across the entire supply chain within the entire agri-food sector.
