Why is this research important for Alberta ag?

Alberta's agriculture and food industry is bubbling with opportunity, but effort is required to ensure the Alberta agri-food sector can effectively compete against other national and International jurisdictions to attract investment, support innovation, and advance the commercialization of agri-food businesses in the province.

The AgriFood IMPACT concept was created and structured as a collective impact social enterprise, designed to address just such challenges and to act as Alberta's "agri-food catalyst" across the entire supply chain within the entire agri-food sector.

What benefits can producers expect from this research?

AgriFood IMPACT will enhance the productivity, profitability, and competitiveness of Alberta's agricultural sector by demonstrating feasibility, reducing duplication, increasing industry connection, and introducing best management practices.

How will these research findings reach producers on-farm?

Findings will be shared with Alberta producers through various extension activities.
