CanolaChat: the AI-powered agronomy interface for canola growers and agronomists
CanolaChat will use artificial intelligence and large language models (ChatGPT) to harness the extensive resources from Canola Council of Canada (CCC) websites. It will do the searching and synthesizing for growers and agronomists, giving them quick science-based answers to their canola agronomy questions. Jay Whetter will demonstrate how the tool works.

Jay Whetter is the manager of knowledge and technology transfer with the Canola Council of Canada. As part of that role, he manages Canola Digest magazine, Canola Watch agronomy emails, and the Canola Research Hub and Canola Encyclopedia. All of these components feed into the CanolaChat tool. Jay grew up on a farm near Dand, Manitoba and has been a farm journalist for over 25 years. He enjoys people, food and new experiences.
