Alberta’s producers have always been pioneers. Agriculture demands it. And now, to drive our industry towards a new level of progression and profitability, RDAR will base its actions on research and scientific exploration—led by producers, of course.

RDAR directs research towards key areas to maximize benefits to producers, and ultimately, to the strength of the agriculture sector for a springboard of economic growth. Agriculture is critical to Alberta’s economy, and producer-led research can help the industry compete on a global scale.

RDAR funds research based on substantial rationale and in a way that drives real benefit. Researchers can count on RDAR to provide predictable funding for their projects. We pride ourselves on practical research. Our work should support outcomes that can translate to applications in the field.

Take a look at what our producers, researchers and stakeholders are working on to grow a more robust and reliable agriculture industry.

CURRENT approved PROJECTS

RDAR recognizes the importance of funding agriculture research projects. Innovations from the lab and findings learned in the field can be implemented by producers to drive the competitiveness and profitability of Alberta’s agriculture industry.

Here is a list of our approved projects. Research projects from our Calls are currently being assessed and reviewed, and we look forward to sharing more projects with you as they become available.
